Hairdresser Rec in park slopeI went to Kristina at Medusa on 5th. She’s awesome. Got great color and cut. She really listens, analyzes, consults and then does it! She’s easy to talk to too and the atmosphere is very nice.
Outdoor keratin treatmentMy daughter recently got her hair cut at Medusa with Mari in their really lovely outdoor garden space. It was a great experience- both the cut and the careful attention to safety! I am not sure about keratin but maybe call and ask- they were great. The space has only one salon chair but two other small seating areas, although we were the only ones out there that day.
Curly girl hair advice/salon needed!Brittany at Medusa Salon on 7th Ave across the street from PS 321 is amazing. She is the only person who was able to cut my curly hair well and cut my 2yo daughter's curly hair without any fussiness twice (I did bring a tablet for my daughter to watch both prior visits).
hairstylist recommendationI went to Medusa in Park Slope every 3 mos or so, and had them add a bit of lavender color to the ends, in a sort of reverse ombre style. My stylist was MJ, who I highly recommend. They recommended sulfate free Silver shampoos that help remove brassiness. I initially used Aveda Blue Malva Shampoo and conditioner, but found them a bit drying so I switched to AG Hair products which were great.
[PSPTweens] local salon for dip-dyeWe love Brittney at Medusa. She's been cutting/coloring my daughter's hair for years!
Best hairdresser in the Slope?Patrick at Medusa opposite PS321 is great too but very popular, not always easy to get an appointment!
