  • Advice needed: Potential Almond allergy in my 9 month old

We saw Dr. Mary Grace Baker at Mt. Sinai and I cannot praise her and the nurses at the Jaffe institute enough. Not many pediatric allergists will do OIT because it's still relatively new. I will say I've been to another pediatric allergist in an office setting during the height of covid in 2020 because I too wanted to avoid covid exposure and Mt. Sinai was a much better experience by far. Not so much in terms of covid safety, but more in terms of how the place was run.
  • anaphylaxis and allergist recs

We see Dr. Baker. We are so grateful for her. We've done 3 food challenges after that terrible cashew experience and she is quick and thorough with follow up on the phone or through email. She is patient with questions (I usually have many) and we feel she genuinely cares about our child. We are starting OIT (peanut) in about a week and she took a lot of time to speak w/ me and my husband about the process.
  • anaphylaxis and allergist recs

Just wanted to drop you a note on Dr. Baker, she is the primary allergist we see for my daughter, 22 months, who started reacting to all kinds of foods when she started eating solids last year. Dr. Baker has been awesome. She took us through all the tests and was very methodical and also reassuring to us. We now know Is has a peanut allergy and are still working our way through the rest of the legumes. We actually go back to see her next week for a good challenge and I’m looking forward to seeing her! So we would definitely recommend her.
