What month and year was your child born? January 2023 Review: I absolutely loved Dr. Teaiwa-Rutherford - she was kind, so responsive and helpful as I navigated my first pregnancy. Her practice is incredibly well-run. I met Dr. Meisler at the hospital who was great as well, and the CNM at the practice, Lisa ended up delivering my daughter. She was so so kind and capable and I had a great experience.OB Recommendations
My OB was at Mt. Sinai West (where I delivered) and is now at Weill Cornell. Her name is Dr. Maria Teaiwa-Rutherford and she’s great! She’s at the same practice as Dr. Feder (mentioned in another post).OB Recommendations
I delivered at Cohen in May under the Weill Cornell practice on W80th. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I switched to them at 30 weeks and had phenomenal care. I saw Dr. Teaiwa but all the OBs are great and they are all women.Black OBGYN - roundup (2021)

I cannot recommend "Dr. T" highly enough. When I needed to transition to a new OB-GYN before getting pregnant, I asked my then OB to please recommend "somebody kind" and his answer was, "If you like kind people, I recommend Dr. Teaiwa." She's easy to communicate with via Mr. Sinai's online portal. The Mt. Sinai and office staff clearly adore her too. She's incredibly patient without making you feel like she's being patient. She backs up her recommendations with data. I feel so very lucky to have found her and that she delivered both of my babies.ISO: OBGYN for 40 year old trying to get pregnant

I would second Dr. Maria Teaiwa-Rutherford. I have been seeing her for years and she was wonderful through my pregnancy and delivery.Review submitted via 2015 Birth Survey
REVIEW: She was very sweet, supportive, and a calming presence. She did her best to help me deliver they way I wanted. At her previous location, the waits to see her were horrendous, but when I went to her new location following my delivery, I only waited 20 minutes. Previously waits were between 30 and 90 minutes. INSURANCE I had no problems with her taking insurance. Based on a August 2015 birthReview submitted via the 2014 Birthing Survey
Member Review: Dr. Teaiwa-Rutherford is a nice balance of clinical and caring. She is very direct with any medical info needed, but also willing to answer any questions I had. She was also very responsive by email when I had issues come up. Insurance details: Dr. Teaiwa-Rutherford takes insurance. I only had to fill out insurance forms once. I had to fill out multiple copies of a lab form that was used to process any bloodwork I had done, which was quite often during my pregnancy.
