  • ISO ob-gyn who delivers at NYP Columbia Hospital

    I delivered my second with Dr Mari Su at Columbia and had visits with her at the office at 165 and Fort Washington Ave. I was happy with the practice and with my delivery experience, which was pre-pandemic. I live nearby the hospital and appreciated having everything in one place.

    I saw Dr Mari Su for my second pregnancy. She's very warm and kind, and I also felt that I was getting excellent care from her. I liked having sonograms and any tests done in the same office - no traveling across town for specialist care. I went to my appointments at her office on 165th street, next to Columbia hospital. It's an institutional office, not a warm and fuzzy place, but everyone is friendly. Her schedule is sometimes hard - mid-day appointments were often the only option, which was tough when I was working in the office. She was very supportive of my desire to give birth without medication, to have a doula present and to not induce before 10 days after my due date. Thankfully, I went into labor at the hospital while waiting for an induction! After care has been good, as well. The downside of Columbia is the bureaucracy, but she would call me back promptly when I had questions. I saw Dr Su for all of my appointments, so I didn't meet the doctor who ended up delivering me, but she was fantastic and it wasn't an issue at all. I recognize that was a luck of the draw, of course. Overall, I felt like I was getting the top quality care available.

    I highly recommend Dr Mari Su, who I just saw throughout my second pregnancy. I found her to be particularly kind and empathetic. I delivered with Dr Perera at the same practice, who I quite liked.

    Absolutely love and swear by Dr. Mari Su at Columbia. She delivered my first and saw me throughout my second, through the 8th month (at 43). Amazing. I ended up delivering at Brooklyn Birthing center---but had nothing to do with her, and she supported it fully. NO EGO. She is incredible. (I just did not want to deal with a hospital birth again, though I was not willing to forfeit her! I am currently seeing her again....) Mari Su: 2123055105
