Auto MechanicLuu Auto shop on Baltic has always been good for me. (Aka Nams auto) They take appointments for inspections too which has been clutch.

Car InspectionI found Naam's (also called Luu's) auto repair through this list years ago. They are wonderful. Affordable (not that that is a factor for inspections), honest, nice, thorough, not upselling or talking down to me and convenient for me in North Slope. I called first and when I went I was in and out in 20 min. I just got my inspection done with them this week.

Re: Can anyone reccomend a trustworthy mechanic in Park Slope?Nam is a neighbor, and he used to be our mechanic. He is absolutely not out there to gain interest on anything...he is an absolutely good guy and great mechanic!

Re: Can anyone reccomend a trustworthy mechanic in Park Slope?We also love Nam! As a FYI, it seems that Nam's has changed its name to Luu's. It is still Nam working there, so not sure why the name change but we noticed the different sign out front when we took our car in a couple of weeks ago.

ISO reliable honest auto mechanicI sound like a broken record, but, Nam is the best mechanic ever! He has been our mechanic for 25 years. he is honets, reliable and hard working. His prices are excellent and he stands behind his work. He fixes all types of cars and does great body work. My husband is a local trucker who drives his own care for his job, having a good mechanic is of the utmost importance to us, and Nam is it. He now works on my husband's car, mine and our eldest son's. He's the best, can't recommend him highly enough. he is open Monday to Saturday from 8am until 6pm. He is on Baltic Street between Bond and Nevins, about 5 minutes from here. We have referred tons of people to him over the years and all have been happy with his work.
