Haircut at home?
Lucas Radcliffe does home appointments for the whole family, including kids. He’s also great with kids. I discovered him recently and was really happy with him. I have difficult hair (many a stylist has told me this this), so it’s not easy to find someone I really like on the first try. I also found his pricing to be very reasonable. The only downside was that there was hair all over my apartment afterward. But that is probably more a factor of the in-home haircut than Lucas. Shout out to Lucas Radcliff. I love my haircut and will now be a regular. I have wavy hair, so it's hard to find someone to cut my hair. So glad I don't have to pay $150 at Devachan anymore! I did have to work with his schedule, texting back and forth for 3 nights, thougn, but that was ok, since I was at home.shoutout for Lucas Radcliffe - amazing with long boys' hair and girls' hair too!
Lucas comes to your house and cuts your hair for $55, and then cuts your child's hair for free. He has been cutting my son's hair for the past two years, and he always does a fantastic job whether we want to keep it long, or chop it off in the summer. Recently he cut my daughter's hair for the first time, and he gave her the most perfect bangs and bob. She has gotten tons of compliments on it and I could not love it more! Lucas is great with children and both my kids actually sit still through their entire haircuts. Having him come to our house is so much more convenient than going to a salon. And the couple of times we have gone to a salon, we have sorely regretted it. I found out about him on PSP, and I can't recommend him more highly!Re: Best place to cut curly hair
Lucas Radcliffe has done amazing cuts for me and my curly hair. He comes to your home and will even cut your child's hair for free! I recommend him highly... except don't expect his timing to be precise. The fact that he is coming from other customers' homes means his timing is imprecise. He comes to me in the evenings so I am able to be flexible.(no subject)
I second Lucas Radcliffe. My son got a horrible bowl cut at the most popular kid's cut place that shall not be named. Lucas has cut my son's hair half a dozen times and always nails it whether we want to keep it long or go short in the summer. He's awesome. My almost 3 year old son never minds getting his hair cut by Lucas!(no subject)
Lucas Radcliffe will come to your home and my toddler (who did NOT like his first haircut at a store) did much better that way. He cut my hair and my son's for $60, which is billed as a free kid's hair cut with an adult's hair cut. He will cut just your child's hair but I don't know how much that is.(no subject)
I am also chiming in kind of late but I love Lucas Radcliffe. He comes to my house, cuts my hair & then cuts my son's hair for free. It is super affordable (even just for me), he is a sweetie & I love what he does with our hair. He works really well with my 2.5 year old son too. He even asks for him to come. I just jumped on the Lukas Radcliffe bandwagon and am very happy with the results. Lukas popped over last weekend and cut my hair as well as the hair of my fidgety, distracted and super high energy 3 year old son. I like both of our haircuts very much. Also, Lukas was very good at dealing with our little firecracker - extremely relaxed and patient. He was also pretty accommodating and did not miss a beat when I decided that I wanted my haircut to go a bit shorter after it was blown out. I also like that I (i) didn't have to take time out to go to travel to a salon for myself, and (ii) did not have to buy tons of toys to appease an overstimulated child in one of those kiddie salons. Finally, the whole shebang cost me less than I would have otherwise paid -- not a decision maker, but an added plus. Overall, a very pleasing experience for this here nitpicker!April, 2012
Lucas came to my house today to cut my hair and my son's hair....and he was fantastic! He is super great with my son, and gave him a cute, hip cut that is perfect for the warm spring weather. He discussed exactly what I wanted with my hair, and I am really happy with what he did. I highly recommend!(no subject)
Lucas came over a couple of weeks ago and gave both my husband and son great haircuts. He was lovely with my antsy/fussy 20-month-old--and the convenience of having him show up at our door on a Sunday morning was wonderful! Just wanted to add another option. Lucas Radcliffe is great. He comes to you. He does an adult cut and then throws in a kids cut for free. I have had him cut my hair several times and have been really happy with his work - he just came last night as we all need some help shaping up for the up coming holiday photo's! He has given both my daughter (2-1/2) and son (14 mo) a cut. He is great with them. Here's a third thumbs up for Lucas Radcliffe - based on the PSP recommendations, I booked him for a family haircut. He came over to our place on a Saturday morning and cut my hair, my husband's hair, and my son's hair, in about an hour and a half. We all got great cuts and he is a really pleasant guy and great with kids. It was much easier than trying to coordinate three separate hair appointments at three different places during precious family weekend time. (June 2011)(no subject)
I second the thumbs up for Lucas. Super nice guy, great hair cuts. I did the parent cut with a free kid cut and that worked out great. I was able to cook dinner while he trimmed my son, and then my son could eat while I got my cut. So the whole thing trims time as well as locks. (May 2011)(no subject)
After all the glowing reviews on PSP, we decided to give Lucas Radcliffe a try. Kids' cuts are free if you get a cut, so I decided to have Lucas cut my hair. He cut my bangs and really did a great job! Then he cut my son's hair and kept it long just like I wanted. Lucas came prepared with organic lollipops too. The best part was that it only cost $55, and we didn't even have to leave the apartment. (May 2011)(no subject)
We've solved the haircut problem (the waits, getting there, getting an appt. by hiring this great guy, lucas radcliffe, who is a professional stylist who comes to your house! I don't know if he will come for just one kid, but he gives awesome salon style cuts in your house and will cut one kid for free with one adult haircut. He has changed our lives, my kids get their haircut in their pjs! How easy is that? I have no personal affiliation with him other than gratitude! (May 2011)(no subject)

Lucas Radcliffe, a Brooklyn dad and hairdresser, comes to your home to cut your and your kid's hair. In fact, he'll cut your kid's for free when he cuts yours (for $55). Anyway, he cuts my long haired son's hair and always leaves it long and curly, and does a great job. He's also great with the little ones. I highly recommend him. Lucas comes to my home to cut my hair and my daughters. He charges one reasonable price for me and cuts my daughters' hair for free. He's energetic and great with kids -- cracking jokes, juggling, and making voices. He always listens carefully to what I want and gives all three of us great haircuts that get us compliments long after he's visited. Just wanted to give a shout out for Lucas Radcliffe, a Brooklyn dad and former Soho hairstylist, who recently cut my whole family's hair (except my long haired almost 2 year old, who firmly declared "No Leo haircut!"). Lucas cuts hair either at his place in Williamsburg, or (best part) he comes to your home. I am in no way affiliated with Lucas, but highly recommend his services. Hi. I had a great haircut in my apartment the other day and I would highly recommend it to all the other busy parents out there. Lucas Radcliffe came to my house, cut my hair and threw in a free cut for my 20-month old son. I just had a baby and could see no other way to get my haircut in the foreseeable future so I really appreciated the convenience. And I'm really happy with the cut, as is my son (who was very entertained by his visitor!) Such a great service.(no subject)
