  • Review from the 2023 Summer Camp Survey

Location: LIU Brooklyn Campus How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 6y & 8y Review: Both kids loved this camp. They attended for two weeks and want to do more weeks next year. The variety was good - each hour was a different activity. Swimming 3x a week. Robotics, movie making, games outside, dancing. The camp hosted a "showcase" each Friday of one of the subjects. 9-4pm which was good hours for our family. Affordable option.
  • 2019 Summer Camp Review

Age: 5 Review: My son goes to the Spanish half day camp. He loves going there every day. It’s a simple program, three activities a day and one of them is Spanish language and he is learning a lot! They also do swim once a week and other activities such as gymnastics and ceramics. He comes back happy every day! I feel that because it’s simple and low intensity, my son comes home relaxed and he has enough energy to enjoy playing outside in the afternoon.
  • Summer Camp Survey 2016

Age of child: 8 Review: This is my son's second year in the swim camp and he likes it a lot. The pace is good -- lots of in-pool time with plenty of breaks. The children attending are diverse racially, ethnically and socieconomically. Counselors are engaged and into the kids. Facilities are fantastic. What would you change about the program, if anything? Communications to parents can be poor or even contradictory in terms of what items are needed, if snacks are provided, etc.

  • Review from 2015 Summer Camp Survey

Age of Child: 5 Likes: Swimming, karate, circus arts. The quality and variety of the programs are great. The counselors are hit or miss. They are generally friendly but for some, this is their first time supervising children. What would you change? Pick up and drop off is a bit disorganized and quite loud because of the large amount of kids. The system for checking kids in at the beginning of the day is a bit haphazard. Groups are large (15-20 kids per group) and the ratio of counselors to kids seemed to vary depending on the day. Would you send your child(ren) again? No Do you recommend? Recommend with reservations Do you have any other information to add? It can be overwhelming to a kid who isn't comfortable in big, loud crowds. Due to the large groups, there is not a lot of individual attention given. But for a kid who is more confident socially finding their own way, this is a good program with a great variety of programs.
  • Review from 2015 Summer Camp Survey

Age of Child: 5 Likes: All the various activities. Swimming, Chess, Hip-hop, Vaporized, etc. What would you change? Better organized first day. Would you send your child(ren) again? Yes Do you recommend? Highly recommend Do you have any other information to add? Great camp with Current LIU students as councilors. Excellent price for a two week camp. They offer 3 sessions that each have a different special. My son went to the first session and during that session they had Chess.
