  • Shout Out: Little Things Toy Store!

They are a neighborhood treasure for sure!
  • Shout Out: Little Things Toy Store!

I just wanted to give a shout out for Little Things Toy Store. They recently went above and beyond for me and it was so very appreciated. I am always amazed at how often they have the very thing I need, or at least a very similar item. I would be heartbroken if they closed, so please don't forget about them when doing your toy and craft shopping!
  • Shoutout to Little Things Toy Shop

They also have PUZZLES which we've been doing a lot of. They sent me photos of what they received in stock and I chose them, paid for them over the phone, and I am going to do curbside pickup on Monday. They've been awesome.
  • Shoutout to Little Things Toy Shop

Given it’s May Day and we’ve been asked not to shop at Amazon/Target/Whole Foods, I thought I would try Little Things! They had the three things I was looking for (Spirograph JR, water beads, and Lite Bright), and are delivering same day, for free!
  • Shout out: Little Things Toy Store

We ordered from Little Things Toy Store yesterday and it was super smooth and easy. Being able to virtually walk down the aisles of their store made me feel like I was *almost* actually shopping in person and also helped prompt some ideas about what would be fun to play with that I wouldn't have come up with on my own. Then I texted the owner and they got back to me right away to let me know what was in stock. They sent some photos of what they had and also had suggestions about replacement options for things they didn't have in stock. I paid over the phone and they delivered a few hours later. Very easy, so much faster than Amazon, and it felt good to be able to support a local business.
  • Shout out: Little Things Toy Store

I wanted to give a shout out to Little Things, which has 2 toy stores on 7th Avenue in Park Slope. They offer contactless pickup or delivery, and the great thing is you can take a virtual tour of their stores by going to their website: https://littlethingstoystore.com/ It was a very smooth process - I emailed them about a few items and received a quick response, then gave them credit card info over the phone. Pick up was easy. It’s great to support our local stores!
  • Where to get balloons inflated?

Little Things on 7th also sells and inflates balloons, though I’m not sure if they do BYOB.
  • Pokémon cards

Little things toy store on 7th ave has lots of different card packs, and also lots of different sized books for organizing them (the bigger problem in our house. My son seems to have taken “gotta catch ‘em all” to heart)
  • Pokémon cards

I'm almost positive that Little Things Too (2?) on 7th Ave sells Pokemon cards; we purchased a binder for collecting them there. Also, there's a kid who's been selling little packets of his at the record sale that regularly occurs on Union Street! Two more ways to support entrepreneurial locals...

  • Re: Where can I get party balloons?

Little Things Too on 7th Ave. They deliver.
  • Re: [PSP] ISO: Jewelry for Kids

Try Little Things on 7th Avenue between Garfield and Carroll. (March 2015)
  • Balloons

Both Little Things (7th ave between Garfield and Carroll I think) and the card/ gift store on 7th ave just off Carroll (next to bank, across from Key Food) sell balloons. For a weekend in particular, you may want to call ahead. I was told once at the card shop they couldn't do 1/2 dozen balloons as a walk-in because they had too many orders to fill. • Re: ISO: art supply store for toddler

I also get my supplies at Little Things as I am a firm believer in supporting a store that has such a sense of community. My son has spent countless hours at their train tables, so anytime I buy something from them, I feel like I am paying a small rental fee for the quality time he spends in front of the store. If I am in Manhattan, I sometimes go to the Michael's on 125th St on the Upper East side. It is kid craft nirvana! Utrecht just opened on Myrtle Ave too.

Little Things has a arts and crafts store on the same block (just about two store fronts over) from their toy store. It's on 7th between Carroll and Garfield I believe, both of the stores have a train table outside. They have a good supply of all you've mentioned.
