  • Review from the Fall 2021 Early Childhood Education Survey

Type of facility: Preschool Review: The infant room caregivers are amazing and loving. Our son now 16 months has been attending since he was 4 months old. Everyday he is happy to see his teachers! What amenities does the facility provide? Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours Is there anything you would like to add about how the school handled the pandemic? All teachers wear masks, do additional cleaning, and take temperatures.

Very caring staff with Mandarin immersion … About the facility: Mandarin immersion for part of day … What would you change? The website says it is Montessori-based. It is not.
  • 2019-2020 Year Review

It’s a great program with warm, loving teachers and an interesting curriculum. They were always so caring and thoughtful with my son and his vocabulary has spiked since starting. He’s also much better behaved now and they are helping me potty train! … About the facility: … What would you change? I wish they had an option for late pickups.
  • DayCare/Pre-School ShoutOut

Hi there! Just wanted to pass on info about my daughter's old preschool, Little Seeds of Park Slope. We had an amazing experience there - they are having an open house this Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9am-12. They are at: 26 7th Avenue Thought I'd let you all know!
  • Recommending our daycare: Little Seeds in Park Slope

Hi parents! Our two-year-old has been at Little Seeds on 7th since the school year started and I wanted to post here saying they have open spots, are awesome, and have an open house coming up. (Selfishly...Our kiddo is the youngest and we want to make sure she's got buddies when the 3 year olds go to Pre-K next year!) Ms Margo is amazing. Seriously amazing. And Ms Chen is teaching her Mandarin. Do we speak Mandarin? No. Does that matter? Nah. They have an open house Nov 3rd. If you are looking for a daycare for your toddler and are interested in Montessori-based programs, check it out. Feel free to email me, too if you want to ask about our experience.
  • 2019 Summer Camp Review

The camp was closed after the first day and ask us to take my kid to their other location that are 40 min walking awake. We asked for our refund.. They didn’t answer our calls or emails for 3 weeks and then refund us the month. What would you change? The administration and the communication with parents. “We are still working on it and will take us one week” it’s a response. Not answers are frustrate.
  • Review from the 2018/2019 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey

School is set up to be Mandarin-learning and Montessori. Not entirely successful in either. It's very difficult to find Mandarin teachers, and they have struggled. There has been a lot of staff turnover, not just of Mandarin, which has been a bit worrying. I wish they would go outside more, even if just for walks. The policy is not to go out if windchill is less than 32 F, but I think they go less than that. Naptime is up to 2.5 hours per day(!). There is a lot of artwork, and I'm currently satisfied with Mandarin instruction, and hope it doesn't change. The location is a single large room that can be bright, and which they try very hard to keep clean and tidy. Hours are 8-6. Communication is through app, and they are great at uploading photos. They do a nice job of exploring the neighborhood and celebrating holidays. About the facility: Has afterschool options What would you change? I would want a more immersive language experience and an emphasis on exploring the world. I want more outdoor time. I want a more cohesive underlying philosophy -- right now, things seems to vary depending on who's in charge.
  • Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey

From our early email correspondence, it was evident that communication was going to be an issue. It was like pulling teeth to get answers to the questions we had about the program, unless it involved tuition money-- in which case they were very good about making sure they had been paid. On our child's first day of daycare, the lead teacher was out and the two TAs present had no information about our start. The director did not come to meet us and the classroom was very chaotic while we were present. The atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming, unlike our initial orientation which actually went quiet well. When it was time to leave our child there alone full-time, we did not feel comfortable for his safety and met with someone from administration to voice our concerns. Despite the meeting, we did not feel like much changed and decided to terminate our child's enrollment after one month. About the facility: What would you change? The lead teacher is incredible at her job. She is easily the best part about Little Seeds of Park Slope. Unfortunately, our interactions with administration were abysmal and disappointing. Communication with parents is in need of dramatic improvement.
  • Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey

Friendly staff, bright environment, always happily greets me and my child at drop off and pick up. During warmer months they take the kids for a walk. They use Brightwheel app to keep my husband and I up to date on meals, naps, poops, and to send out reminders and messages to parents. About the facility: Has outdoor space What would you change? They are closed for spring and winter break because they follow the DOE calendar which means I need to find child care during those times.
  • Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey

We have only been at Little Seeds for a month, but it has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are great and very loving. The space is bright and happy -- much larger and with more light than the other spaces we toured. The kids get taken to the playground and to a playspace on Smith Street often (including to a music class every Friday). The closure schedule is very reasonable (major holidays and a week each for spring and winter breaks). Communication is through an app, and is very comprehensive and immediate. About the facility: Has outdoor space, Provides meals.
  • Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey

Love the small class size and attenative teachers. There are 3 teachers on rotation. The lead teacher is the only one that soley speaks mandarin and other 2 speaks mainly English. Love that they Encourage the kids to be independent and do things on their own. Dislike: the space is really small. No seperate room for meals or naps. During nap time, cots are laid out randomly. My kid is there part time and seems to miss out on many activities and craft/projects. About the facility: Has afterschool options What would you change? Program can more organized and curriculum can be more structured.

Length of time: 4 days a week Full Time Child’s Age: 2-3 years Type of facility: Privately run daycare/preschool with multiple classes and teachersThere is little/no parental involvement with the administration or running of the facility. REVIEW: Run very well by Program Director Jaime (forget her last name). Has good instincts of how to run an efficient, fun, loving and safe envirnoment. My son has been there since he was four months old, and he has thrived in all ways possible. Would you recommend? Highly recommend Would you send your child again? Absolutely
  • Shout out for Little Seeds preschool

I’m a Bococa mom who’s son is graduating pre-school to start K at PS133, even though we are zoned for PS58. I’m joining the message board because I want to feel part of the community where my child will spend most of his week! I’m sure, like many of the parents on the bococa message boards, people are looking for preschool recommendations and I’d like to give a mention to Little Seeds. The school is 323 President St btw Smith and Hoyt but they are opening a second location in Park Slope – 7th Ave & Sterling Place nr Grand Army Plaza. It is expected to be opened by the fall. The moment I walked into Little Seeds I knew I’d found the right place! There is an energy and an excitement to the school that made me feel my son, who was 16 months at the time, would be well cared for, nurtured and encouraged every step of the way. I have never changed my opinion and he has gone from strength to strength. The Principle, Jaime and her team are wonderful partners, very collaborative, patient and interested. The curriculum is well thought out, the children are happy, the atmosphere is fun and engaging and they are learning so much! I believe they are taking enrollment for the Park Slope venue now. Happy to answer any questions you might have.

  • Review from 2013 Daycare/Preschool PSP Survey

Review date June 2013 (for 2012-2013 year) Program: Infant Length of time: 3 days a week Child's age: < 1 year Review: I like that the class size is small, the teachers are engaged and give good feedback, the facility is clean and friendly and my son is thrilled to be there. He is smiling when he arrives and when I pick him up almost every single time. Do you recommend? (Hi/Rec/DoNot) Highly recommend
  • Review from 2013 Daycare/Preschool PSP Survey

Review date June 2013 (for 2012-2013 year) Program: Two's Length of time: Full Time Child's age: 2-3 years Review: The teachers seem great and involved. Though we are less than a month in to this daycare program, the teachers helped my daughter make a smooth transition. My daughter has been in a good mood at pick up which makes me think she is enjoying her time there. This daycare is a lot larger than our previous daycare, which seems like a positive as there are more kids my daughter's age and they can structure activities specifically for her age group. Do you recommend? (Hi/Rec/DoNot) Highly recommend
