    I have been going to Dr. Hanna for a few years. She is a typical NY doctor with a busy schedule but very funny and warm. The weeks moving up to birth she was patient with all my crazy questions and great at the hospital and during my emergency c-section. She came to check on me more times than I would have expected a Doctor too. Highly recommend. (On 09-Nov-2018)

    I also used LoMa OBGYN. I had the midwives for prenatal and delivery, and they were A+ (!!). I saw Dr. Lily Hanna for a well-woman visit before the prenatal care, and I had a pretty different experience from [the previous poster]. I’m really glad it went well for you, [the previous poster], and I’m sad it was different for me. I had 3 brief “pre-pregnancy questions,” and received a $90 bill for a fertility consultation. We spent less than 5 min on it, plus, I wasn’t due for a Pap, so my overall visit was super quick. After much wrangling, the office agreed to waive the charge. Post-natally, I had an issue and the midwives were booked solid. Dr. Hanna had an opening, and I needed the help, so in I went. She missed/misdiagnosed my issue, causing me an additional 2ish wks of pain. When I made a new appt, I went straight to the top and got in w Dr. Moritz (of the documentary “The Business of Being Born”). He immediately nailed my diagnosis and I was fine within 36 hours. I’ve heard great things about Dr. Moritz, and I had a great one-time appt w him. However, I’ve heard that he’ll keep you waiting 45-90 min. Ughh - who has time for that!? I’m closely following this thread bc I need an OB for general care. The LoMa midwives don’t do anything besides pre-natal/delivery/post-natal (as of Sept 2017 - but that may change).

    Lily Hanna is amazing of LoMa Ob/gyn. I do not think I would have been such a glowing pregnant lady without her. She patiently answered everyone of my ridiculous questions in person and via message (usually within 2-4 hours) and even FaceTimed with me one week post c-section when I had some swelling (it avoided a visit to the hospital to see her late on a Friday night). She is in FiDi which is also easy to get to from Brooklyn.

    I recommend Dr. Hanna to any person who I know is interested in changing their ob/gyn. She is straightforward, calm and collected, evidence-based, genuine with a touch of humor which makes for a wonderful pregnancy experience. Throughout our pregnancy, I messaged with her regularly about any concerns we had and she always answered our messages within several hours. She runs on time and spends as long as needed with you. She is by far one of the best physicians I have had in my life (and I have had many of them). Based on a September 2017 birthing experience.

    Never felt rushed. Took the time to get to know me and my family. The pro and con: she seemed more interested in me as a person than in me as a patient, so occasionally had to push a bit to get my questions answered. Based on a April 2017 birthing experience

    I love Dr. Hanna and was so lucky she was on call the day I delivered. She is pretty no nonsense and a straight shooter, but has a very relaxed bed side manner and is very personable at appointments. During my delivery she was very calm and kept things light, but she was assertive when teaching me how to push and telling me in no uncertain terms to channel my energy and not to moan or groan. Would recommend her to any girlfriends and my sister is a loyal patient of hers as well. Based on January 2017 birth experience
