Review: I am so grateful we found Lil Polliwog's. My son has been there since he was 5 months old (he is now 2.5) and it's been a fantastic experience. The owner Towanna is incredible, has a deep background in early childhood, and was incredibly kind and helpful with all of my first-time mom questions. Many of her staff are studying early childhood in undergrad and grad programs, which I appreciate. They have a fun outdoor space, and do adorable art and sensory projects. They also are very supportive of and familiar with approaches we decided to take with my son (namely baby led weaning), support socio-emotional learning and are also very supportive of potty training-- although we aren't there yet. Meals and snacks are provided, and seem to be a step above what are provided at other daycares (Towanna has studied nutrition in college). They also will do special Saturday hours, which we have used on occasion, and also have staff babysit for us on nights and weekends. We like it so much, we plan to send our second son there once my mat leave is over! Amenities: Has outdoor space, Provides mealsLil Polliwogs Daycare
We go to little polliwogs in the infant location and it’s wonderful! The owner Towanna and the staff are great, just keep on emailing Towanna : lilpolliwogsdaycare@gmail.com And ask for a tour! The email on the website was broken in the past so the one above is the right one - good luck !Lil Polliwogs Daycare

our son goes to Lil Polliwogs and has been there since he was 4 months old! He is turning 3 in September and we have been so so happy there. There may not be many reviews because the daycare was brand new when we started sending our son there. I second all the positive things S. wrote. We toured a few daycares before deciding and it by far impressed us the most. Towanna the owner has an early childhood education and worked at bright horizons before opening her own place. It is so clean and they take cleanliness very seriously. I love how much outdoor time they get. They have been so accommodating - we did cloth diapers which is a huge pain for them compared to diapers but they always accommodated. They helped a lot with potty training as well, supporting us through the process. I feel like they do so many fun activities and I’m always impressed with how much our son learns - especially in the last year. My mom owned a preschool for 35 years so I knew whatever place I would send my son to would also be under her scrutiny. She visited and toured when she came to visit us and approved and always tells us how we selected such a good spot for her grandson :)Need advice/opinions/recommendations on Lil' Polliwogs Daycare
My 10m daughter has been there since early July and so far we’re really happy! They have two locations- the main location is all ages, though mostly older toddlers, and a smaller location down the street just for infants. We picked the infant location for more baby space & fewer germs, and will be moving up in October when she turns one. Things we love -VERY fast responding to email & communications -Follow our schedule and have a separate sleep space, so naps are quiet, dark, and when she needs them -Totally accommodating of our requests, from baby led weaning to supporting her gross motor needs Wish we could change - Daily communication is via paper instead of an app/something electronic - Main location has outdoor space, infant space does not -Not allowing external visitors (our baby’s PT) due to COVID concerns, though ultimately we decided this was good & a sign they were taking risks seriously I loved our tour with Towanna, the owner, but was nervous because there were no PSP reviews. So glad I went for it.Lil Polliwogs Reviews
We send our son to Lil’ Polliwogs and are very happy there! He started going when he was just under 5 months old and he will be 3 in September. One possible reason for no reviews is it was pretty new when we started sending our son in March of 2019. He was one of 4 kids at the time, and since then more families have sent their kids there. A lot of the kids who have come since the beginning are still there and new kids have joined as well. The owner is wonderful. She has an early childhood education and previously worked at Bright Horizons before she opened her own business. She is very hands on with the kids and the staff she hires are all so wonderful and kind and loving towards our son. The staff to child ratio always impresses me. I think the rule is 1 teacher for every 4 kids but it always seems like there are 3 staff members and no more than 8-10 kids there a day. Just before the pandemic she was looking to expand into a second space, so the older kids could continue and she could bring more younger babies in and they would have their own dedicated space. I’m not sure if that plan will get resurrected. At the moment it is mostly kids 2-3 years old, and there are a few babies too now. the facilities are super clean, they provide snacks and meals, they do activities with the kids, reading circle time, numbers, alphabet, light and water tables, art projects, outdoor play time and neighborhood walks among many other things. My son has learned so much there! they were also so supportive with allowing us to cloth diaper and then assisting with potty training.
