Car Service from Newark
My friend used Legends Car Service when she was on crutches and Lyft and Uber drivers would see her and drive away. They are super reliable. Offering a third (?) rave for Legends. They are pricey but EXCELLENT. They pick up my 80 year old mom at the airport when I can't make it. She's very anxious and has very low vision and she consistently raves about how easy they make it for her. I highly recommend Legends car service. My MIL uses them often when she travels to LGA. They are early, and their cars are very clean and all are big cars. They contact you when they are at your place. They are not cheap, but very reliable and provide top notch service.ISO car service that you can call (no apps)
I use Legends Car Service. I used to use Arecibo, but many “5 minutes“ became over 30 minutes and once was way more so no more Arecibo for me. I think I have been using legends car service for at least 15 years. Legends Car service is very reliable. We call (718) 788-1234, and they have our info over the phone, and the driver is always on time and usually early. I usually use them to head to the airport. We just used Legends https://www.legendslimousine.com/ for a trip to EWR / home from LGA. They were great - on time, clean cars, car seat installed. They text and email you to confirm the car is there. We only needed one car seat, but they have options for infant, toddler or booster. I haven’t used them to the airport in a while, but Legends has always been high quality. Not the cheapest, but always punctual, clean cars, good Covid protocols, car seats were always in good condition, properly installed…they will ask if you need front or back facing, etc. vs show up with the wrong type. I’ve always used Legends Car Service 718-788-1234 for airport travel from the Slope and now the Heights. They are very nice cars, always early (they call you when they arrive), have never been late or no show, and great dispatcher service. You can also schedule your return when you reserve the departure. Finally, I don’t think their prices are much higher (if at all), compared to Lyft/Uber.Car service req with car seat

I just used Legends to go to LGA. They provided car seats ($10 each) because we were traveling somewhere where we already had car seats. It wouldn’t call it cheap but the van was very clean and well maintained and the driver was kind and helpful. I’ve had two terrible experiences with another neighborhood car service that both times left us stranded without car seats so I will pay a little more for reliability. I use legends and find the driving to be very safe. I struggle to think of a time over the 8 years I have been using them when the driver used the phone. I use them mostly for work related airport travel but occasional around brooklyn as well.Re: car service to LaGuadia

I second Legends. Always reliable, polite, friendly, etc., and most important on-time. Yes, may be a bit more than others, but we use them primarily for to/from airport runs, where timing is more important (to us) than, say, getting picked up from the grocery store. Agree with Legends. They also go by Prospect Car Service. I have used them since my son was a baby. When you call, you have to specify that you need a car seat whether infant or toddler. The car seats are not souped up but all have been very functional. They already have it ready for you to put your child in when the car arrives. Car seat costs $10 so you may balk at it at first but it beats taking the worry out when you need to get from point A to B. I just used them on Friday to get to the airport. They also call you when the car has arrived at your place. They cost a little more than other car service but have been very reliable for me (they never say "five minutes" like Arecibo and don't show up) as they have your record on file when you note your tel number.Re: [PSP] Car service with car seat
Legends car service - very reliable and on time. We just got back to NYC today and used them - as we always do. They have toddler and infant seats so just specify. I believe they charge a small fee for the seat but they're clean and it's always already installed. Safe travels!(no subject)

I've had a lot of luck with Legends. Call to reserve your car the night before just to avoid a wait. Most if not all the cars have toddler seats in their trunks if they're not already set up in the backseat. So far they've shown up early for us, and the only time they were a bit late was when the driver got a flat tire en route, and they immediately sent someone else to come get us. It's $5 for the toddler seat. It's a little expensive on the whole, but overall it's been totally worth it and has made a giant shlep SO much easier. I really recommend them. We also use Legends to get to the airport with the kids. Last week they picked us up and I pre-ordered seats for an infant and a toddler.They were installed -- sort of -- though the dispatcher told me that the drivers are not required to install them, just to provide what we order. Be prepared to either install them or to adjust the installation so that they are properly and safely in there. That includes adjusting the straps; for my infant they were on the highest setting and basically dangling over him until I adjusted them. Allow extra time when you book to be sure that the seats are in there as they should be. As a note on the infant seats: Legends does not provide infant seats, just convertible seats that are OK for infants. They're not particularly comfortable looking, and I spent the drive to Newark propping up my son's head. If you are particular about having an infant seat, you may want to try Eastern or another service people recommend. All this said, Legends' drivers/cars are reliable, friendly, and reasonable, and we keep using them. (June 2010)(no subject)
