• Thoughts on PLG Preschools?

  I highly recommend Lefferts Garden Montessori (LGM)!!! My twins went there for the toddlers program and we had such a wonder experience. It provides a robust Montessori approach. My children just had fun but were constantly learning. ? It’s a tight-knit community. I always felt that the teachers and the admin loved the kids. My children were enrolled at the height of the pandemic, and they handled everything so well. The admin was very open to parents’’ input in designing the safety protocols. During some of the worst months, I was nervous about sending my children to school, but quickly relaxed once I saw all of the safety measures LGM had put in place. I was so grateful to have a place for my twins where they could have a “normal” childhood experience when it seemed like everything around us was frightening and chaotic. I’m convinced it was because of their time at LGM that my children fared the pandemic as well as they did. Also, the classrooms are beautiful and the teachers make a real effort to create a soothing environment for the children. LGM definitely follows the Montessori aesthetic. Finally, as a new anxious parent, the teachers provided me with so much guidance and built up my confidence. It’s a truly loving place and my children thrived there. Neat fact-the executive director recently reached out to me to check in on the twins and see how they were adjusting to their new school. It’s that kind of place!
