Hands-on STEM providers?I'd recommend reaching out to The League of Young Inventors. I believe they work with schools in delivering STEM programming. My daughter enrolled in their after school program many years ago and enjoyed it.

2019 Summer Camp ReviewMy daughter did Spy Week at League of Young Inventors and absolutely loved it. She came home with her spy kit containing all of the gadgets she had made that week (lots of STEAM projects). She and two friends that were at camp together spent several hours after camp on Friday afternoon playing with all of their gadgets. Everyone was so excited about their secret identities, and the background stories they had created. In addition, when I had initially inquired about their policies regarding food allergies, I was relieved that they had a thorough and well thought out policy. They kept the epinephrine injector all week, and even made sure to take it when they went to the park. It reassured me that my daughter was in good hands.

March 2019They probably don't need my shout-out (as classes tend to fill up very quickly) but my 6 year old son is obsessed with his League of Young Inventors class on 7th Avenue and 10th street. We happened to walk by it one day and it looked interesting so signed him up. I have no affiliation with it other than my son being an excited participant.

2018 ReviewMy rising Kindergartner just did a week of Summer Program there and LOVED it! She did extended day all week as well. If your kid loves to create things I highly recommend it!

Young Inventors (2018)We love Young Inventors! My 7yr old son has used (safely!) a knife and a hot glue gun and couldn't be happier about using "real tools." The teachers are engaging and enthusiastic. The environment is focused with the right amount of autonomy. My son particularly loved creating the catapult! Highly recommend this place!

League of young inventors review (2018)My 8 year old son loves to go to the League of Young Inventors! They pick him up in his school and he is there using his imagination and crafty skills for over 2 hours! They teach them some scientific principles and they apply their creativity to build their own things.
