Review from the 2020–2021 Daycare, Preschool, Pre-K, and K Survey
Review: The League is incredible. In order to attend, you must have a very specific IEP, but they also have a very affordable daycare for non-special ed students. The teachers there are incredible and loving and the extras (art therapy, dance therapy, social skills) are top notch. We will be sending our next child to the daycare, if she does not qualify to go on an IEP. Facility amenities: Has outdoor space, Provides meals What would you change about the program? They were very, very late to bring in-person classes back. Is there anything you would like to add about how the school handled the pandemic? They were very good about masks and continued hybrid learning through the end of the year.Autism support & resources
We too recently received a high functioning ASD diagnosis for our 3 year old son (he'll be 4 on Sunday). We have been attending The League since September and we have loved our experience. I'm not sure if you went through the DOE for your diagnosis, but that is what we did. The League did our evaluation and helped us through the IEP process. We were offered a pre-K spot at The Children's School and at The League, but we decided to go with The League and I'm really happy we did. They are so supportive and engaged with helping us get our son the help he needs. Anytime I have a question about a concerning behavior I can email our team and they write back right away with suggestions for me. Plus if I'm concerned about something specific they work on it when he's in school in person too. They have also been so helpful in deciding how to proceed with kindergarten next year.
