What's the deal with Apple Picking this year? Any family friendly places that follow good covid protocols/social distancing?
Adding to the chain! We went to Lawrence Farms and had a really nice time. About 1.5 hours there, 2ish with traffic on the way back. No reservations needed. Mask compliance was excellent, social distancing not so much—but mostly a factor of late afternoon crowding. Some fun animals and a kooky little kids’ village to play in, too. We got there around 11 which was great: empty (for a NY orchard in late September, anyways), minimal lines for food. The place itself is huge, so even when things got crowded later, the picking/wandering was great. I’d say we stayed too long, as checkout and food lines around 2ish were a little nutty.
