I highly recommend The Tutoring Collective run by Laurie Marvald. After a year of remote school, our 10th grader struggled with math and chemistry but resisted getting help. By the time our daughter agreed to work with a tutor, the situation was dire. We needed an experienced, engaging tutor who could make an immediate impact. Laurie responded to my email the same day and by the next afternoon had connected me with Leah, a tutor in both math and science. Leah was a perfect fit. Through their weekly sessions, our daughter was able to boost her chemistry grade all the way to a B plus and also significantly improved her math grade. Laurie came to the rescue again when our daughter was overwhelmed by a history paper - required in order to pass the class - and didn't want to show her teacher or anyone else her draft. Within 24 hours, we had an initial meeting with Sarah, a writing tutor. Sarah quickly gained her confidence and over the course of several sessions our daughter completed the paper. Laurie truly has a gift for matching students with tutors and we're so grateful that we reached out to her.
