    The team at Mt Sinai is exceptional. Dr. Lauren Ferrara and Dr. Maria Mella. Mt Sinai Upper East side. You set up a consult preconception. I had pregnancy losses and also did a full work up, genetic screening, consult and found the team there amazing.

  • High-risk OB recs please

    I highly recommend Dr. Lauren Ferrara and her whole practice at Mt. Sinai. I too suffered a loss late in my first pregnancy and switched to them shortly after, and they have been amazing- for both my physical and mental health. After the loss, I had my daughter at 33 weeks and she was in the NICU for a little over 2 weeks and they were amazing there too.

  • Looking for OB / MFM Recommendations after IVF

    Congratulations on your pregnancy! While i didn’t go through ivf, i knew before i got pregnant that i would need an MFM throughout my pregnancy. I checked a couple of referrals and ended up choosing Dr Lauren Ferrara at Mt Sinai on the upper east side. She was wonderful. I started our relationship pretty scared of complications and her calm yet caring nature in addition to her expertise got me through an early miscarriage that seemed to happen in the office during my appointment with her, a massive blood clot in month 7 and a scheduled delivery because of another health issue of a healthy baby. I cried on my 6 week follow up that i wouldn’t need to keep seeing her. The other doctors i saw in the practice in the few days she was off were equally calm, kind and smart. I was able to deliver with her as well although i don’t think that is guaranteed. The upper east side wasn’t as convenient as Brooklyn would’ve been but it was well worth it.     Dr Lauren Ferrara is exceptional. She practices as a high-risk pregnancy OB. She saw me through pregnancy loss and the birth of my son. She is very thorough, clear and kind. She goes above and beyond. At one point I was emailing her my blood pressure every day and she was reading it and replying with next steps. Deals with high risk pregnancy due to maternal or fetal risk factors. I have Cigna.

    Dr. Ferrara was my Maternal Fetal Medicine OB and we were lucky enough that she delivered my son too. She was the best doctor for me during my pregnancy and birth. She's smart, thorough, takes her time to answer any and all questions and basically kept me calm throughout my pregnancy despite some challenges. She explained everything very clearly and easily gained my trust from the beginning. She also is very compassionate and has excellent bedside manner. Based on April 2016 birthing experience
