Member Review: I took Lara's prenatal yoga classes and Bend and Bloom as well as her Yoga for Labor workshop. She is very knowledgeable about birth and pregnancy and has a very positive attitude. I'm really grateful for all of her support during my pregnancy. I came home from every class with a smile on my face and a new tip or two to make my life easier. Member Review: I had never been into yoga before pregnancy it is just not my thing. During pregnancy, I tried a class with my sister-in-law and I was hooked! I took class at least once a week with Lara at Bend and Bloom and I honestly don't know what I would have done without that class. She not only provided much-needed stretching and relaxing, but she also provided a safe space for discussing pregnancy woes and concerns, and she gave us more practical information about coping with pregnancy and childbirth than I got out of my hospital-led childbirth class. Review Date: April 2012 REVIEW: Lara Thompson teaches prenatal and postnatal yoga at Bend and Bloom and Kula yoga (she also has a private studio in the area). Her classes are a wonderful oasis for women in the pregnancy and postpartum period. Her calm energy, gentle wit and deep knowledge of anatomy, in particular of the pelvic floor, make her an incredible support and help on both sides of the birth process. I took both her prenatal and postnatal classes this year, and each class made me a happier mama to be and mama. She takes a personal interest in her students and their babies, and she was a huge part of making my transition to motherhood a positive one.Birth Survey 2012
Review Date: April 2012 REVIEW: Lara is AMAZING. Truly, a Godsend. Her prenatal and postnatal yoga classes do everything to soothe a mama's body and soul. I also saw her for pelvic floor work after birth, as I had misaligned pelvic issues. I cannot recommend her highly enough.Birth Survey 2012
Review Date: April 2012 REVIEW: The methodist class was way to basic and not very detailed or helpful. I learned more from reading on my own. Lara Kohn Thompson's brief class, on the other hand, was awesome, very interactive and everything that I wanted to get out of a childbirth class. Loved it! INSURANCE ISSUES: I think the methodist class was free. I'm not sure about Lara's class but I doubt it.
