  • Caterer?

Kiwiana does catering and their food is excellent. Union St and 7th Ave.
  • Adult Party Venues

Our babies (now tweens!) group has used Kiwiana for our annual holiday dinner (up to 20) for about as long ad they’ve been open. Their servers have been attentive, they’ve had really great wine pairings with generous pours and the food has been delicious. We use their basement, which has its own bathroom, and the space is quite private. We’ve enjoyed dining with them for a number of years.
  • What restaurants do you love? Adult and Kid-friendly!

Kiwiana on Union is an intimate restaurant that I fear might close up because it's always almost empty when we go (granted, super early). The menu is on small side and doesn't change too often but the food is really good and consistent and fresh, and service is good too. They host events.
  • Re: Suggestion for restaurants infant-friendly?

We loved going to Kiwiana for an early brunch or dinner before our children became too mobile for restaurant outings.

Second the recommendation for Kiwiana -- great with kids! (except they only have two high chairs so get there early or reserve!)
  • ISO: venue for baby shower

I don't know how many people you're having, but we had 20 at Kiwiana on Union for brunch. My sister paid for it, so I don't know how much it cost, but she seemed excited about finding something affordable. The service was great, and the food is always wonderful there. My sister brought a cake from Ladybird and got flowers from somewhere else. It was a really good time.

    - kids friendly. I always take my family-in law (7 people) every time they visit us. (March 2012)

We had a terrific dinner last night at Kiwiana, on Union Street just below 7th Ave. The chef is from New Zealand, and he's excited to share the great culinary tradition of his country. He and his wife, the owners, live in the neighborhood as well. I have no connection to the place, just want to spread the word about a wonderful new place to eat in Park Slope. (November 2011)
