Review from the Spring 2023 Early Education Survey
Review: We love it! Teachers are very hands-on, kids are happy, and the school brings in many different enrichment activities (sports, music, reading). They also do a great job keeping the parent community active through frequent parties and events. My son is thriving here. Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides mealsReview from the Spring 2023 Early Education Survey
Review: My child has been at Kiddie Korner starting as an infant, and we have enjoyed the close knit community around the facility- there are many activities that involve all of the classes and caregivers. Communication has been good with lots of photos everyday, and weekly summaries of activities. The teachers brought in each week to do yoga, music, reading, etc. have been very good. While most of the activities are not related to the Jewish education, there are daily and weekly activities that are (shabbos preparation, etc ) and plenty of holiday themes throughout the year. Location: 117 Remsen St, Brooklyn, NY 11201 Type of facility: Daycare Review: My son started daycare in January when he was a little under 6 months old. When he started , he would not take a bottle and it was so stressful for everyone. He has been sick often like many kids in daycare but he has just flourished at Kiddie Korner. The morahs are so loving and creative. They are communicative. They are kind. My son comes home happy. They often send pictures of all the fun things the children do. Now that it is summer they play outside in the water. You really get the sense that the staff love babies. My only complaint is that because of the new classroom set up my son was taken to one nap a little early - but even that has not been so bad. What amenities does the facility have? Has outdoor space What would you change about the program, if anything? The younger babies in a seperate room. Is there anything you would like to add about how the school is handling the pandemic? His classroom has closed twice. They follow protocol.2019-2020 Year Review
My daughter loved it there. Her teachers are wonderful. Small class sizes. There is a mix of learning Hebrew and English language. … About the facility: Has outdoor space, Has afterschool options, Has early morning hours … What would you change? More open communication between the administration and parents.Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey
We've absolutely loved our experience at Kiddie Korner. The teachers are warm, loving and always thinking of new activities. Each day the kids are involved with different activities from yoga, music, interactive story time, soccer, etc. I drop my child off everyday feeling secure that he's loved and well cared for. It is a religious school (Jewish). We are not Jewish and still chose this school over secular daycare options. That being said, we are moving him to a different school for a 3's program because of the daily emphasis on religious instruction. If that's what you're looking for in a program, then Kiddie Korner is a great fit for you. About the facility: Has outdoor space What would you change? Kiddie Korner could improve upon how they handle transitions. They could provide more clarity and better communication about teacher and classroom transitions.Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey
My kid loves it. Super nurturing, loving and devoted to the kids and their families. It is religious but accepting of families of all faiths. About the facility: Has outdoor space, Has afterschool options.Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey
Warm, friendly environment. The kids feel loved and known. Parents generally all tuned in. Administration has been flexible and helpful when the invariable issue arises. Biggest downside are all the holidays - school is effectively closed for most of the month of October (and various other pockets throughout the year).Review from PSP Survey, 2010
Name of Program: Full Time KID AGE:e Korner. They have music time, baby yoga, and fun theme weeks during the summer "camp" program. The teachers are very responsive, hold parent-teacher conferences, and best of all, post updates and pictures on facebook a few times a week (always on a privacy setting). It's great to see our baby so happy playing with the other children. The staff help us with everything from teaching our child how to eat whole foods to encouraging crawling/ walking.
