Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience SurveyMy daughter, Josefina, was born 6 lbs 9 oz. By the time we had her first pediatrician appointment, she had lost 9 oz, which was a significant weight loss. My pediatrician expressed concern and suggested I hire a lactation consultant immediately. Thankfully my doula, Kesha King, is also a lactation consultant. After I described my breastfeeding experience, she correctly deduced my daughter had both tongue-tie and lip-tie. Kesha referred us to Dr. Scott Siegel who performed a frenectomy on my daughter. In addition, Kesha offered sound advice on how to increase my supply of breast milk. Because of Kesha, my daughter's latch and my milk supply have significantly improved--and more importantly my daughter has been healthfully gaining weight.

Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience SurveyI wanted a doula who could simultaneously be a source of comfort and a fierce advocate. Kesha King is exactly that and more. She is experienced, wise, generous, and down-to-earth. Plus she gives the best hugs. If I ever have another child, I would absolutely hire her again.
