She brought a peace and respect for birth and birthing people which alongside her experience and knowledge about the birthing process helped me have the calm labor process that I wanted. She also was eager to help with practical tasks like carrying out hospital bags, and getting bagels and orange juice in the morning when baby was born :) those little things go a long way and allowed my husband to be my primary birth partner yet to also have the support that he needed to not always be juggling all the logistical details at the same time trying to offer emotional support. Katie was wonderful!!
