  • Chiropractor or Acupuncturist Reco for Neck and Shoulder Pain

I had the same with my first and got great relief from Dr. Karen Thomas at Community Chiropractic & Accupuncture of Park Slope
  • 2018 Review

I see Vincente Saraco in Karen Thomas's practice. I like him. I started going to Community Chiropractic because of some debilitating neck pain that started postpartum. I had one appointment with Karen Thomas, and she was good. My schedule has lined up better with Dr. Saraco, so I have continued to see him with no complaints. At first they had me come in weekly (maybe even twice a week?), and my appointments became increasingly spaced out as my neck improved. I think now I go about 4 or 5 weeks between appointments. The only (minor) complaint that I have is that there can be a wait if you have a later appointment (like 7 or 7:30pm-ish).
  • Re: pelvic girdle pain/sciatica during pregnancy: doctor recommendations

I got chiropractic combined with acupuncture treatments from Karen Thomas on 8th and Union. The first two times not much happened but the third was a charm and it felt like a minor miracle.
  • Re: Chiropractor in Park Slope

I’ve gone to Karen Thomas for years. She’s on 8th Ave. near Union St. Karen has a wonderful gift for figuring out what’s going on, and has a nice, warm demeanor. One thing I like about her is that she’s specific about how many treatments are needed (usually very few) and does not have your coming back forever. In addition to chiropractic she’s a licensed acupuncturist.
  • Re: physical therapist for sciatica/back issues

I went to Dr. Karen Thomas on 71 8th Ave (near Union St) when I had sciatica at 5 months pregnant. It took 3 sessions but she worked miracles using acupuncture and chiropractry. I highly recommend her.

Karen is wonderfully intuitive and does acupuncture also. She's in North Slope, I've been going to her for years, and now also go to a chiropractor who works for her on Sat. Her office is at 71 8th Ave (near Union St). Her office manager Helen will be able to tell you if they take your insurance; my guess is, they do. Good luck with your back.
