  • Egg freezing at 38 or 39

I did IVF in my early thirties after having trouble conceiving so can’t speak directly to success about egg freezing at 38 but I wanted to recommend a clinic and a doctor - Joshua Klein, the cofounder of Extend Fertility. I followed him from RMA, to Extend, which he started initially just as a place for women to freeze their eggs and has since expanded to include all fertility services. I cannot speak highly enough about them. My sister-in -aw initially went to RMA for a consult and was told she would not be able to get pregnant without IVF and then saw Dr. Klein for a second opinion and he offered her other options to consider before going straight to in vitro (and she did in fact get pregnant without IVF). Dr. Klein has a great bedside manner and is very good at quoting statistics which I found particularly helpful for making informed decisions. At one point I saw another of their doctors, “Dr. G.” who was similarly warm and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the clinic!
  • Re: [ANONYMOUS] Need fertility specialist for 2nd opinion

I am so sorry for your losses. I know how painful it is. I would highly recommend Dr. Joshua Klein from RMA of NY. He is at the Brooklyn Court St office. He is hands down the best doctor of any type that I have ever seen. He is compassionate, smart, kind and listens very well. I too had discovered blood clotting issues among other things and while clinics tend to often follow their own standard protocol, including RMA, he was amenable to adjusting his approach with me based on my individual circumstances. The office is small and the staff great. While appts sometimes did take a long time I was never bothered by it because I knew he was giving as much care and attention to the current patient he was with as he did with me.
