Wonderful night nurse available
I'm writing to strongly recommend Josette Smith, our night baby nurse who helped us the first three weeks of our son's life. I had a very hard delivery and difficult recovery, and Josette was a life saver. She helped me get some much needed sleep to recover physically (and emotionally - sleep deprivation is a real torture!) and helped teach us very important skills for how to care for my child. I would not be standing, smiling or nearly as healed today if not for her. She is so gentle and kind with my child and has an incredible passion and skill with newborns. She walked in every night genuinely excited to see my child and us - her presence brought a much needed calm and support to our home. If anyone is looking to hire extra help at night, I cannot recommend her strongly enough. Please contact her at josettesmith@live.com or 646 648 0820.#nightnurse
I would like to recommend Sandra Hamilton as well as her sister Josette Smith. I learned about Josette through a PSP Advice listing earlier this fall. She was not available at the time but referred my husband and me to Sandra, who stepped in as a night nurse for our three-week old. She continued to work in our home from 10PM-7AM for roughly half of the nights each week and our son now sleeps through the night at 2.5 months. Sandra has been dependable, responsible, and unobtrusive. We're pleased with our son's progress but sad to see Sandra go. Josette, meanwhile, has more availability now and has helped care for our son from time to time by day. Both Sandra and Josette have a great deal of experience working with babies and are able to help out in numerous ways. We are more sane and organized because of the support they've provided to us. Incredibly helpful as I battled some post-partum depression/anxiety. I got sleep, our family could heal/bond, and our son thrived. We loved her!Night Nurse
Josette was a great night nurse for my newborn. You can tell she had alot of experiance and was always willing to offer suggestions when asked. I have a 2 year old and needed the extra help with my newborn. Since I was breastfeeding, she brought her in to my bedroom when she was hungry and came to pick her up when I was done. She also came early to bathe my newborn and was never in a rush to leave once her time was up. My newborn rarely cried when she was changing diapers (she was very quick and efficient). She also had good recommendations when I asked her about alternative swaddles since my newborn didn't seem to love the one that I had. I plan on using her every now and then when i need an extra hand.Review of night baby nurse
Josette has been coming to me two nights a week the last couple of weeks (and will continue to be available to help me) since my husband started traveling in the week out of state. Having Josette in the apartment with my 4 week old son was a big relief for me. She brings him to me to breastfeed and takes him away to settle him - allowing me a few extra precious moments to sleep and recover. Most importantly Josette is a calming presence to me- I am a first time mom and naturally very anxious, especially on my own at night. On the nights she doesn't come she texts me the next day to ask how we went- she cares about me and my son. I look forward to working with her again and highly recommend her for anyone seeking someone non judgemental and kind.Based on a 2014 Birthing Experience
Member Review: Josette helped us as our night nurse for 2 weeks on and off when my son was 4 weeks-6 weeks. She is a baby whisperer. She kept him calm and quiet and I absolutely felt like she knew just how to calm my little one. I was still getting up to breastfeed but she took care of everything else so I could get maximum sleep. I would definitely recommend her. Insurance details: N (Review submitted via the 2014 Birthing Survey)Wonderful Night Baby Nurse
Our night nurse, Josette Smith, is now available for a new position as our daughter, who was born in February, is sleeping through the night. Josette has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She has tons of experience (with singles, twins, and multiples) and is patient, gentle, kind, trustworthy, honest, and skilled in baby care. Josette truly loves working with infants and that comes through in her work ethic. I feel incredibly blessed to have had Josette care for our baby. Josette is certified in CPR, gets a yearly flu shot and has received the pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine. I did not run a background check on Josette but I did speak with several of her references and they were all glowing. (April 2012)
