Highly recommend you speak with Dr. Joe Gallego, who has advanced training in working with transgender youth. Whether or not he can do a complete evaluation, he can certainly point you in the right direction, and I believe he's taking on new patients. Very kind, respectful, relatable to both teens and parents.

Thought this would be of interest: We just started working with Dr. Joe Gallego, who has been excellent with us and our son and who incidentally has advanced training in trans psychiatry. Unfortunately, he doesn't take insurance--but I wouldn't imagine there are that many psychiatrists who work with trans kids, so if you have a need, definitely check him out.
