Jocelyn Fraum Therapist (Perinatal Mood and Affective Disorder specialty)Jocelyn is a treat, a real gem of a therapist. She has a great laugh, and will push you to consider things sometimes out of your comfort zone. She is direct in her communication. She is human. She is a mom. She listens carefully and is genuinely supportive. She understands what it means to be a new mother, how difficult it can be, and what a huge life transition it is. I have been seeing Jocelyn for over a year now and I recommend her to any mother (or parent!) that needs extra support navigating the joys but also stressors of life. I have had very intense postpartum depression and anxiety after the birth of both of my children. It was a very dark time in my life. I have worked with Jocelyn after the birth of my second child. It is not easy to find a therapist that is specifically attuned to support women in this specific time in our lives. She has both the personal knowledge and experience, as well as the professional training. If you are not sure if this is just the "baby blues," the shock of parenthood, or something more serious, Jocelyn can help you to know the difference. She will provide skills you can use to support yourself to a place of resilience and confidence.

Jocelyn FraumJocelyn is an incredible therapist. I saw her after having my first child, and she was a huge source of support for me in the postpartum period and then continued to remain an important source of guidance beyond that time. She is down-to-earth and made me feel very comfortable with her, but she also really pushed me to think about things in new ways, reframe issues, and consider new areas for growth. We also worked together to develop tools to help in these growth areas. She offered a great mix of supportive listening and active guidance. I found her ability to reframe and offer spot-on insights to be truly brilliant. I feel unbelievably lucky to have found her when I did and would highly recommend her as a therapist to anyone.

Dr. Jocelyn FraumWorking with Jocelyn has been a lifeline. With her support, I have observed myself make tangible mindset shifts. Her approach helps me balance competing priorities of parenting, work, and relationships by asking myself hard direct questions. I can use her prompts and tools to figure out what aligns with my values and if something doesn’t align try to figure why I’m struggling with it. I appreciate Jocelyn’s ability to listen closely, pause, and regurgitate back what I am describing in a way that’s more digestible and tailored to the experiences I’ve faced. I would recommend Jocelyn to parents particularly new parents and those struggling with how to navigate home, work, and relationships.

Jocelyn FraumJocelyn is an outstanding therapist. I highly recommend her, especially to anyone that is pregnant, postpartum, raising a child/children, etc. I have been working with her for over a year, since I gave birth to my second child. I love that she is a mother and therefore can relate to the challenges (and joys, and everything in between) of parenthood on a personal level. Beyond that, I find her extremely knowledgeable and through our work together have learned many important skills I now use in my marriage and with my children. Throughout our time together she has recommended two books that have, it is no exaggeration to say, changed my life. They’ve deeply impacted, and improved, the way I approach my marriage, and the way I parent my young child. I appreciate her honest, direct style, which is candid while also validating my emotions and challenges, and recognizes my own progress. Her ability to reframe a situation is truly impressive. Jocelyn is an absolute gem. Having her on my “team” as I worked through a difficult postpartum adjustment to having two kids has been extremely valuable. Working with her has made such a huge, positive difference, especially in the early, tremendously hard, newborn weeks. I feel like I won the lottery finding Jocelyn (through PSP!).

Dr. Jocelyn FraumI have been a client of Joycelyn's for almost a year, almost as long as I have been a first-time mom. I would not have been able to roll with all the dramatic changes that come along with motherhood without her therapeutic ear, suggestions, and tools. She is also a mom which makes sessions effective (i.e., not a long of backstory of what it means to be a parent required). I recommend her particularly to birthing parents and parents in general who want to thrive while rearing one (or more) children. I would not have been able to handle things this well this long without her support.
