Dr. Berkin is in MFM at Mt. Sinai. She is highly personable and brings a certain lightness to all the meetings. She always made me feel extremely comfortable. She was very on top monitoring the pregnancy and her cautiousness and forward thinking actually helped diagnose a problem that I think might not have been noticed by another practitioner. She explained any medical decision making thoroughly and was respectful of my choices. She responded very quickly to email. Overall, we had a great experience with her and I would go back to her if we were having a second. One negative--the lab at her office had some pretty significant issues. I had to get several labs redone and on occasion did not get test results back for weeks. I think this was amplified by COVID but there definitely were some administrative issues on the Mt. Sinai end. I was told by Dr. Berkin that she had brought a formal review for some of these issues and that the hospital was working on addressing them.
