Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience Survey
Can’t say enough good things about my delivery experience. She inspired confidence, stitched me up expertly and remembered my moms name two days later. -
Review submitted via the 2016 Birth Survey
I don't know what I would have done without Jess and Donna. Park Slope Midwives is by far the best place to go in Park Slope in my opinion. You may have to wait a bit during appointments, and sure the office is not state of the art. But the staff will know you immediately. Every midwife at the practice is patient and kind. They are also highly knowledgable and approach labor/delivery with confidence. They also have a great relationship at Methodist where they basically run the show. That was especially helpful for my delivery, which happened a lot quicker than anyone expected! Based on February 2016 birthing experience -
Summary- Doc for hyperemesis
Just seen your second post. I had hyperemesis gravidarum throughout my second pregnancy (had it to a much lesser extent with first) and it was sheer hell so I know where you are coming from. Poor you! I had a fantastic midwife from Park Slope Midwives on 9th St (they take Aetna) in the form of Jessica Goldman who was brilliant and helped get me the right treatment - a combo of diet, RX drugs which ended up being administered through my thigh through a McKinley pump, rehydration sessions via IV at the hospital and a few other things. I also had incredible support from a certified nurse practitioner/psychologist called Lilian Venezia (local and also takes Aetna) as I developed clinical depression during the pregnancy as I was so sick all the time and she liaised with. Don't know if you would be agreeable to having a midwife, but I found Jessica and her team really good. Here is a useful link: http://www.helpher.org/mothers/referral-network/search-results.php
