[ANONYMOUS] Therapist for PPDI am so sorry you’re going through this. Please know that it 100% gets better and that you are doing everything right by asking for help. I highly recommend reaching out to Dr. Jennifer Rhodes (located in Brooklyn), who is terrific, a local mom, and specializes in maternal mental health. She could definitely point you to some great resources. Her phone number is â€(718) 841-7461‬ and her email is Jennifer.m.rhodes@gmail.com. If she isn’t the right first stop for you, she will surely be able to point you in the direction of the person or people who will be.

[ANONYMOUS] Therapist for PPDInitially, I saw Jennifer Rhodes in Cobble Hill. She is a psychiatrist who was really knowledgeable and understanding and specializes in PPD. It was such a relief to put a name on what I was going through. The part that sucks is that the original appt is ridiculously expensive, like obscene, like 350-500 (I don’t remember exactly but it’s insane). I actually made an appt with her and canceled the first time because I didn’t think I could justify the money. I went to a psychologist that was covered and recommended by my OB, but at the time, it just wasn’t what I needed (though the woman I saw was lovely). Dr. Rhodes was able to prescribe me meds that have been extremely helpful, and she referred me to a psychiatrist on court street that I absolutely love. She is so, so supportive and I am so grateful to her. I can tell her anything without judgement. Now I only see Dr. Rhodes once or twice a year for any medication mgmt (basically to check any prescription change, reduction, etc).

[PSPWorkingMoms] Therapist RecommendationI can't recommend a psychotherapist, but my psychiatrist when I went through PPD with some serious anxiety and massive sleep issues was wonderful. Unfortunately, she's expensive and she makes you bill your insurance yourself, which is a pain in the butt. But I think very highly of her and credit her with guiding me through one of the hardest times in my life, which is thankfully over. Review submitted April 2017

(no subject)Jennifer Rhodes is a great psychiatrist in Brooklyn Heights who may be able to do therapy or recommend someone. She is very expensive (I think $250/session) but worth it. July 2012
