Advice: Switching Early Intervention Offices? An Office you like in Kensington or Windsor Terrace?I can’t remember the name of the office she works with but we had (and are still having) great experiences with Jennifer Laing. She has a therapy gym in South Slope/Gowanus that would be a lot of fun for a 21-month-old kid! She was our EI provider for our youngest kid from when she was 3 months to about 18 months, I think? And now we are getting private PT from her for our son who qualifies for OT, but not PT, but really benefits from his sessions at the gym with Jennifer.

Physical therapist for 15 month old with gross motor delayMy son had similar issues. He was diagnosed with low muscle tone at his first year checkup and at the time was not crawling. He was strong enough that he did not qualify for early intervention. We took him to physical therapy at Run, Jump, Roll on 3rd Ave. between 7th and 8th St. He saw Jennifer Laing. I think he did a total of around 15 sessions. He's now a very active 2 year old who climbs, runs, jumps, and generally does a great job keeping up with his older brother. Anything at RJR will be out of network coverage and their sessions are less than $100 unless they've raised rates.
