• Help here-- Winter Birthday Ideas???

  For my daughter’s first birthday we booked Jane’s Carousel- it’s totally enclosed and heated and you really can’t beat that view. It kind of feels like a park party because it’s all open and glass. It wasn’t very expensive but you have to bring everything in (but you can scale up or down depending on what you want). They also let you bring in vendors if you wanted to do face painting, magic, etc.

  We loved this venue so much the first time, we're doing it again for baby #2. You pick a 2 hour time slot from 11-1 or 3-5 and during that time, you and your guests ride the carousel unlimited. We had whole foods come in and set up sandwiches, salads, and non alcoholic beverages on a table provided by the venue. I brought cupcakes to setup also. Next time we're getting pizza from Grimaldi's right around the corner. The scene is so picturesque that we didn't miss the helium balloons not allowed by the venue, or any other real decor. Katie and her staff were beyond helpful and even corralled us all for a group photo before the party was over. In my opinion, best place for a 1st birthday, as all the excitement really wore our little guy out, so the 2 hour party slot was just enough to eat, ride, socialize, sing, clean up and be done. Our out of town guests loved the views and walking over the BK bridge after the party. I had zero people in my tiny apartment and all the kids (and adults!) loved riding the carousel. Win win win.

  Last year i had my daughter 2nd birthday at the Jane's Carousel in Dumbo and it was amazing, everyone kids and grownups have so much fun, it was cold outside but it feels very comfortable inside the carousel. also it wasn't that expensive
