  • Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience Survey

Dr.Kramer is great. She went on her own maternity leave for the second half of my pregnancy, so we got to meet all of the 6 doctors in her practice at Weill Cornell. I still like her the best but her colleague Dr. McConnville ended up delivering us and she was great too.
  • Newly pregnant, need OB

I second the recommendation for Jamie Kramer at Cornell. I’ve been going to her since her days down at Soho Women’s (her prior practice) and long before I was pregnant (or even trying) and I absolutely adore her. She’s straightforward and no nonsense, but very compassionate and has a good sense of humor. I was just shy of 40 when I delivered and was a total nervous nelly even though I had no complications and she was terrific throughout the process. (Btw, the other doctors in the practice, all female, are fantastic too. They took me on when Jamie was out on maternity leave.)

I went to Dr. Jamie Kramer at Weill Cornell and I liked her but I didn't have complications (with baby or me) during pregnancy and was not high-risk (except for being in my 40s!) so we didn't really have any difficult situations to tackle. I will say that when I said I was worried about a history of blood clots in my family, she was supportive of having me see a hematologist for testing even though I've never personally had a clot. For the last month or so, I was going in every week for monitoring fluid levels and fetal stress just because of my age. And when it came time for delivery, I was past due and she wanted to induce 5 days after to coincide with one of her hospital days but I wanted to wait a few more days to see if labor started naturally. It did not and I was induced about a week after my due date so one of the other doctors in the practice handled and I was confident in and comfortable with her. Kramer was very straightforward, listened, and I was happy overall with the approach and resources at Weill Cornell/New York Presbyterian.
