Anyone know of a good meal delivery service ?
We adore ipsa!!! It was a postpartum gift from a friend and now we use it all the time.Meal-delivery recommendations
I’m a fan of Ipsa. The site is detailed with the ingredients.Meal Kit Delivery Recs?
Another plug for Ipsa! Some of the food has been great and some is ok but overall have been impressed. They do deliveries multiple days per week and they even sell some items at the co-op!Meal Kit Delivery Recs?
This isn't a meal kit - and I know this is a cooking group but also a parent group so wanted to throw out there that I have been looking Ipsa. It's more like frozen fine food that you can add fresh veggies and sides to...Precooked Meal Services
I second the recommendation for IPSA meals! We received a gift certificate when I had my daughter last August and we have continued to supplement home cooked dinners with them! They have easy delivery and we have liked pretty much all of the dinners we’ve ordered!Precooked Meal Services
All frozen food so you need to make the vegetables yourself. They’ll include pasta/rice/couscous Usually makes enough for ~2 meals for the 3 of us Yummier than Jennie’s Kitchen but not as “fancy” as Aunt Jenny. Also they have a lot more spicy options and I am such a wimp when it comes to spice that a lot of their stuff is too spicy for meLocal meal delivery service recommendations?
I'd also recommend Ipsa out of Williamsburg - all the food is frozen which is the biggest difference but quality and flavors are great.Meal prep, basic family cooking instruction help
+1 for Ipsa! We have been using it the better part of 2021. Recommend! Yum.Meal prep, basic family cooking instruction help
I second the Ipsa recommendation, it's a great service and if you are a Park Slope Food Coop member-- they stock these now in the frozen section. Initially seems expensive but when you consider each entree is 2-3 adult meals, it's a value for the quality. Most takeout meals end up being more expensive and less delicious. We get these about once a month for some variety.Meal prep, basic family cooking instruction help
IPSA Provisions delivers very good freezer chef-made meals (it’s not a subscription, you choose from a menu) with lots of veg options. Each meal serves 2-3 adults which is good for leftovers if you are solo. It’s slightly cheaper, less wasteful (packaging is minimal and usually recyclable), and healthier-feeling than takeout. Might not provide the kid meals but is good for cooking ruts for tired adults.Meal kit recommendation?
We love Ipsa (https://eatipsa.com/). Delicious food and love that it's frozen so we don't feel pressured to use everything before it goes bad. Great as a standalone meal or with a salad.Fundraise for your school with ipsa provisions this spring!
We can attest - a dear friend gave us a gift card to Ipsa when our son was born recently, and the meals were SO good! Thoughtful, easy, super flavorful and delicious, as if you were sitting in your favorite restaurant. It was my first time doing any kind of frozen meal service, I think they may have set the bar too high for anyone else! :) They also have a very thoughtful little baby gift they sent along with our meals, such a friendly and local company. We’ve been ordering since! Highly recommend.Prepared Meals Delivery Service
I third ipsa!! We love it, and settled on it after a few disappointing other prepared meal services. Small menu, but everything is good, and they deliver free in nyc (including Brooklyn) for orders over $95. And it’s frozen so things keep forever! Their chicken pot pie and kimchi beef stew are special favorites, if you’re a meat eater. Both are sometimes out of stock! Everything can be heated from frozen, either baked for about an hour or stovetop for like 15-20 minutes (or less if it’s defrosted).Prepared Meals Delivery Service
Thirding Ipsa for frozen! I’m off dairy and soy at the moment (thanks, baby) and can always find at least a few meals that work and we can keep in the freezer as a back up.Prepared Meals Delivery Service
I second Ipsa! They offer a new baby gift card now, too.Prepared Meals Delivery Service
Our friends gave us a gift card to Ipsa Provisions after I had a baby this past March and the food was delicious! I don't know if they are BK-based, but definitely NYC-based. https://eatipsa.com/October 2020

We've been using Ipsa since I gave birth a week ago. They deliver frozen dishes that are really easy to heat up and are quite delicious. They deliver every Tuesday and Wednesday.August 18, 2020
Ipsa has some great vegetarian options, especially the Eggplant Marinara and Lasagna Bianca.Delivery recommendations for prepared side dishes
Not side dishes per se, but Ipsa Provisions delivers amazing "home made" frozen meals using really high quality ingredients. You could divide the servings into smaller portions et viola--side dishes! As an added bonus, they're donating a portion of every order to the One Fair Wage Emergency Fund during the crisis. Full disclosure: One of the co-founders is my friend (and a local dad!) but I'm also a happy customer.
