Culinary Techniques Week Location: Williamsburg REVIEW: This was a “serious” culinary techniques course for 8-14 year olds. My son loves cooking and does a lot in the kitchen at home but this week absolutely expanded his skills - serious knife skills, sautéing, hand whipping, etc. they made five courses each day all from scratch (one eaten as a snack and the rest eaten for lunch) and it was impressive to say the least (I got to try the leftovers!). It was also palate expanding - my son now loves shrimp (hated it before) and a few other things. The space is very nice, great chef teachers. The only think my son didn’t like was the play time / break outside - not much to do. He is the kind of kid who really didn’t need a physical activity break and would have preferred to just keep cooking, but I get that some kids need a body break! CHANGES: Maybe options for break time like making recipes into a book etc DETAILS: Age of child; 8 … Weeks attended: 1

REVIEW: My son is very serious about cooking and we have had trouble finding a cooking class for kids that is not “babyish”. Hudson Table was great! They do “real” cooking - knife skills, pasta from scratch, etc. I’ve gotten to try some leftovers and it is impressive! They are organized, it’s a great space, and my son loved it. Skills learned: Some cooking skills we haven’t done at home, such as pasta from scratch What would you change? It’s a little pricey but what isn’t? Age of child: 8
