I just had a local baby shower at Hollow Nickel a few weeks ago (in Boerum Hill near the Barclays Center). I would highly recommend given your parameters! They have a nice, spacious backyard with tables (some with umbrellas - great for shade if it's hot and sunny) and benches. I was able to reserve a two-hour time slot on a Sunday for up to 20 people in the backyard. This didn't include the whole space but a designated area, which was more than sufficient. There's no fee to reserve and you're allowed to bring decorations if you want (we just had a few balloons and also brought cupcakes). You can also order food, food platters, and/or do an open bar if you like (we did a few food items, no open bar, and just paid the tab for everyone - the burgers and wings are really good). They were great and super accommodating!
