ISO: pediatric dentist that takes Healthfirst?Not sure if this is where you went but we've really liked the Hello smile office on 7th ave and 3rd street (upstairs)

ISO good pediatric dentist on the Empire/Blue Cross Child Health Plus planWe go to HelloSmile on 7th Avenue with this insurance. We are happy with the care he is getting. They did have more limited hours since the pandemic but we've been able to get times and days that work for us nevertheless.

experience with Kids Dental Village in Park Slope?We just took our son there for his first ever dental cleaning and everyone was so great! The building the office is located in is pretty dodgy but once you’re in the office, it’s bright and clean and the staff couldn’t be sweeter. We have a VERY shy son so things started out a bit rocky but the incredible hygienist won him over by showing him how all the tools worked and being super patient. They are total pros!

experience with Kids Dental Village in Park Slope?They were the only ones who took our insurance also after our insurance originally assigned an adult dentist to our child (another major headache changing that) and we made an appointment about a month ahead back in the spring of 2021. After many many attempts at trying to contact someone and finally sending a rather strongly worded email, we heard directly from someone who worked there. Of course the day before the appointment my kid came down with a fever and I was not able to contact them to cancel and never heard back about rescheduling even after following up. I contemplated just walking in to see what's up-- very confusing. And their hours were very limited at the time. About a month later my son fell and chipped his tooth and I tried to call for an emergency appointment with no luck-- even reaching out directly to the person who had finally emailed me back initially.
