I have used Heart Savers here in Brooklyn twice. It’s easy and quick and close. I’ve always been able to go within a few days to a week or two of when I needed it. https://www.heartsaverny.com/

I’ve done various ones and thought the best was the American heart association pediatric first aid and cpr course. It was very thorough- you can do it in venues all over the city. It was a five hour class taught by a dr. You can also do a shortened version without the first aid.

We signed our nanny up for a refresher course at HeartSaver NY in Prospect Lefferts Gardens (it's near her neighborhood). They have classes Mon.-Sat. at 9AM and are an American Heart Association certified training center. I think we just did the CPR/AED course, but you can also combine it with a first aid course for an additional $10.
