What month and year was your child born? October 2022 Review: There aren’t enough words to describe how much love I have for Eva and Kateryn. I’ve known that I wanted to try to give birth at home since I was a teenager, and this team absolutely exceeded my expectations. I’m the kind of person who appreciates a blend of traditional and modern medicine, wants evidence-based support for decision making, and has no tolerance for things like crystals and homeopathy. During my pre-natal care, I it only received all kinds of medical information, but also received regular mental health therapy sessions and all the prenatal classes that I needed. When it came to birth, they pulled me through the hardest night of my life. I ended up needing an episiotomy (one my my biggest fears!), but they asked for consent and, because of the relationship we had developed over 6 months, I know that any intervention they took was 100% medically necessary. After giving birth, they came to check on us a few times and provide lactation support both in person and over FaceTime (both are IBCLCs) for months after birth.Heart Science Midwifery - Kimm Sun and Kateryn Nunez
I swear that Kateryn, Eva, and Kimm are the sole reason why my 3 month baby is so happy and easy, why my birth was so transformational, why my pregnancy was so enjoyable, and why this postpartum period has been nothing short of magical. I knew they were something incredible the moment I met them. Every interaction was infused with so much care and attention and intention and education and support. I don't have family nearby and my mom passed away 8 years ago so having my first baby without a community felt overwhelming until I met these women. I had my youngest daughter at home in 2020. Found out I was pregnant the day we went into lockdown and my experience was amazing. My midwives were heart Science Midwifery.
