  • Iso: Pilates in Windsor terrace /Kensington /park slope

I got to Harbor Fitness (gym) in Park Slope as they have lots of mat classes and also have gym membership. It's the most pilates I've ever found in a gym in this area (I think 5 or 6 a week?) If your work schedule is flexible, may be a good fit!

  • Gyms with childcare?

I love childcare at harbor fitness on 15th . The people in charge are so friendly and it’s included in your membership. You can wAtch as well on the tv. You don’t have to sign up you just show up and drop off
  • Re: ISO: gym recommendations (crunch in particular)

I had a membership at Harbor Fitness for a few months, before my little one was born. It was decent.
  • Re: ISO: gym recommendations (crunch in particular)

I have been going to Harbor for the last 4 years or so, I really like it, it has a real Brooklyn Vibe, everyone is really nice. I can’t comment on the personal training as I haven’t used it, but overall I like the gym. They have indoor bike parking, and more to the point of this list free child care, which both of my little ones really like. And to the pint of supporting local business it’s certainly not as BK, but it’s still a relatively small and Brooklyn based gym. They also don’t hit you up with hidden “service” fees etc... I would definitely recommend it over the Crunch right across the street.

ISO: Local workout class similar to ballet barre / core fusion? At Harbor Fitness on 15th St between 4th and 5th avs, they have a Ballet Burn class on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am. It's a great class mixing Ballet techniques with other toning moves. It's the gym I belong to, and I love pretty much all the classes and instructors. (April 2012)
