I was attracted to Hale Salon in Tribeca because they use organic color. I know it's not in the hood per se, but if the number of chemicals you put into your hair matters - then it's worth the short hike into lower Manhattan. Every other salon that carries organic color charges double what Hale charges and it probably does make a difference the stylist you see and their level of expertise. I started working with Syndey 3 years ago and have been very happy with her work! I've only seen her for color but I know she also cuts hair.
