    We are still newish in town also and moved here needing a ton of dental work. I’ve had a good experience so far at Gowanus Dental with a filling, crown, and implant. Got the recommendation from this list and also it’s next to Four and Twenty Blackbirds so I like to treat myself to a slice of pie after my dental trips :)

    The whole staff is great, and I've found Dr. Tarasenko's bedside manner to be warm and down to earth. Incidentally they are around the corner from Four & Twenty Blackbirds, which has great pie.

  • ISO- oral surgeon for adult wisdom teeth extraction

    I just started going to a new dentist in Park Slope who I really like, Dr. Illya Tarasenko of Gowanus Dental. I'm getting two wisdom teeth extracted next week so I can't speak to that yet, but so far I am happy with the work that has been done. I have to pay out of pocket so I don't know anything about insurance.

    Gowanus dental! Never have we been excited to go to the dentist. We have about 8 friends who we have told about them and are now patients and huge fans. Legit we have text chains about how awesome our dentist is (a sentence I never thought I would say) Super modern, clean and punctual. Cannot speak more highly of them

    My kids and I love our dentist, Dr. Iliya Tarasenko DDS. A couple of years ago, we also changed dentists after many years. I wished we had done it sooner. He's wonderful and has a great team. We've been there for cleanings, an implant, and fillings. All have been successfully tended to by Dr. Tarasenko. My favorite thing is that he's prompt, his office is very nice and he's located so close we can walk to our appointments.

    I recently switched dentists (for the 3rd time) and had some extensive work done (root canal, crown, multiple fillings) by Dr. Illya Tarasenko at Gowanus Dentist. His office is clean, new, well managed, and next door to Four and Twenty Blackbirds (best pie in hood). He did 5 years of dental work for me in about 2 months. I have had a few traumatic experiences with dentists who were highly recommended by others, which lead to me avoiding all dentists for a bit. Dr. Tarasenko was calm, confident and efficient. I was able to handle getting a lot of work done with him and continued to go to him just for cleanings too. We have pretty crappy dental insurance and he still took it. I highly recommend him.
