  • Haircuts- house calls!

My stylist, Setsuko who worked at the Salon Fumi, which sadly closed permanently due to the pandemic, found another salon, but also texted that she is doing housecalls. She charges an additional 40% for the home visit (on top of I believe a $95 rate).... but anyway, thought I'd pass it her info along as an option. I've always been happy with her cuts and have been seeing her for several years. Setsuko- 347-726-0741 (text or call to make an appt.)
  • Haircuts- house calls!

My stylist Nana from Fumi Brooklyn is amazing. The salon recently closed in the Gowanus and she seemed interested in doing house calls (for existing clients at least). She’s at 347-558-6226.
  • Any stylists willing to do home haircuts?

Nana is my stylist too, and she is easy and great.
  • Any stylists willing to do home haircuts?

I got word that my local place, Fumi, closed and my cutter, Nana could come to my house to do it. You’re in a slightly different locale (they were close to Whole Foods in Park Slope) but may be worth a shot? She is lovely! Can do a little daring but listens to you (when I felt like just a trim) and not pushy.

I got a great cut, after not doing anything for the better part of a year, at Fumi near the Whole Foods in gowanus. I saw Nana. Her technique was amazing!
  • Re: [PSP] Where can I get a decent blowout in the neighborhood?

I have been going to Fumi Brooklyn for over a year now for haircuts, color and blow-outs-- highly recommend them!!!

I was a faithful client of Fumi at Salon de Quartier on Smith St. for several years and when she left to start her own salon I gladly followed her, as did most of her clients. She is that good. When I was last there, an entire family from New Jersey drove in to have their hair cut by her. She is a very talented hairstylist, with a gift for doing a wide range of styles, from more traditional to extremely funky. And she is a lovely person, very sweet, good-humored and accommodating. Her new salon is a delightful space on 3rd St., which feels like something between an art gallery and café. Her prices are really reasonable too.
