Review from the 2024 Summer Camp Survey
Location: Bed Stuy REVIEW: The camp was really fun for my daughter. The teachers were kind and fun. There were lots of great activities, things to do, and field trips. The group was a mixed age of elementary aged kids, which was really nice to have some different ages playing with each other. Snacks are included in the camp tuition. The camp counselors also updated at least once per week with pictures and a written update, which I feel is very unique for camps. The camp director is really awesome and communicative with parents as well. I would definitely recommend. CHANGES: It would be great if the day was a little longer. It's 9-3 and there are early drop off and late options though. DETAILS: Age of child; 5 … Weeks attended: 3Review from the Spring 2024 Early Education Survey
Review: Teachers are professional, reliable, loving, brilliant, progressive, interesting and interested. Space is beautiful, classrooms lovely. I would do it all again and I will for my next child. Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? Seems like some of the staff is burnt out from the union push or not on the same page. I wish they could pay all the faculty and staff more.Review from the Spring 2024 Early Education Survey
REVIEW: We can't say enough good things about our experience at the Co-op School! Not only is the community aspect amazing but the attention to each individual child has impressed us. Our son is in their youngest group and has fantastic teachers with a thoughtful, artistic curriculum and active after school program. We get a daily summary with photos of the kids that has become my favorite part of the day. I just wish it wasn't so expensive but you really do see the quality in their programming and care.; Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours; What would you change? Location: Coop school How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 3 Review: The location is amazing and the staff is loving. Everything is organized and up to date. Facilities are new and education is relatively progressive. There is movement, at, social enticed stuff and fun. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? It was a little “product” based with lots of laminated take homesReview from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey
We feel SO lucky to have our daughter at the Co-op School. The teachers and staff are amazing -- so caring, creative, energetic, and attentive. At parent-teacher conferences, they really demonstrate how much they have gotten to know and see your child develop. The student body is also very racially diverse. We love that the school really encourages a lot of free play, outdoor time no matter the weather, and learning for all the senses. Families are very involved because it is a co-op and you can see that it makes the school truly a community. Everyone on the staff says hello to kids / parents on a first-name basis and there are tons of events (book fair, story night, bake sales, movie night, etc) for families to get involved with. About the facility: Has outdoor space, Has afterschool options, Has early morning hours, Has additional enrichment classes (a la carte) like soccer, art + music classes What would you change? I don't think there's a lot they can do about this but it's SO competitive to get in and the cost can be prohibitive. I would love to see the school work at being more socioeconomically diverse and hopefully in the future they can also accommodate more students.Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey
Attended for the 2s and 3s program (part time) - and she and we adored the school. In particular, the teachers are warm & caring, patient, open and kind. They teach based on the interests the kids express. Our daughter comes home discussing "compassion" and "uniqueness" and has learned to celebrate all the different types of people. She learned about architects & artists and her class is currently building a 'city' where they choose their materials, create their own plots of land, choose the topography, etc. The communication to parents is daily, and photos are posted on Edsby system. Teachers (and faculty) always replied quickly and thoroughly to questions. It is 'less expensive" than some/most of the other private schools available for preschool - if we could afford it, I would send her there for preK as well. Has outdoor space, Has afterschool options, Has early morning hours.(no subject)

Length of TIme: 3 days a week/9-4 PM Review: We love the Coop School! If you are looking for a school that offers the families a community and the kids an engaging and fun atmosphere to learn and create, then the Coop School may be for you! The teachers are amazing--three to a class--and are patient, caring and very communicative. They send a note home each day to let you know what the class was up and details about your child in particular. It's a great way to keep the parents involved and for families to reinforce what was learned at school. I have been so impressed with the variety of activities and themes covered at school and the resources available (two on-site playgrounds, a garden, a science room, a library, a huge rec room, etc.). The big con: If you live in Park Slope it's far. But it's worth it. FYI: They give tours almost every Wednesday. Recommend (Hi/Rec/DoNot) Highly recommend
