Ferrell Motlow, MD - NYC Pediatrics
Pediatrician in Prospect Heights+1 for Dr. Motlow at pediatric associates. She’s always been terrific with our kids and “non-alarmist but thorough” is a spot-on review. Their practice generally is well run and very good, including when you just need a callback or advice from the on call physician, like the time I forgot to buckle our oldest into his high chair.
Pediatrician in Prospect HeightsWe send our kids to Dr Motlow at Pediatrics Associates (in grand army). The connection to NYU proved invaluable when my son had some complications after being home so a connection to a hospital/system is definitely something to consider! We only switched when my younger son was born in December (we were at Dr Gordon’s office in Carroll gardens previously before a move) so we haven’t met many of the other doctors, but really like Dr Motlow’s non alarmist yet by the books/protocol mentality.
Re: Pediatrician RecommendationI highly recommend Dr. Motlow ar Pediatric Associates. She's kind and warm and has called ME a day after I've taken my child to see her for some bad sickness or another to see how we are doing. I've sent others to her and they've also been happy. They are located on Plaza Street right near GAP.
Review submitted via 2015 Birth SurveyWe love Dr. Motlow! She's super relaxed, very caring and great at her job. She never pushes sleep training and always takes my questions seriously ... even when they are ridiculous. Insurance: Yes. Based on a June 2015 birth
Review submitted via 2015 Birth SurveyReview: From the very first time we met Dr. Motlow, we were at ease with her. She has been our child's pediatrician since day 1 and is fantastic with our daughter. She is very laid back but gives great advice. Insurance: Y Based on a October 2015 birth
(no subject)I found her to be super personable very sensitive to my son and daughter's needs and very endearing - she took her time and was very thorough - my daughter was wheezing and was very sick and then my 6 mos son got it and she made sure they were both clear - she even wanted me to come back and do a recheck! I really liked her a lot.
(no subject)We saw Dr. Motlow a couple weeks ago for a sick visit and I really liked her. She was very gentle with our 4 month daughter and I didn't feel rushed. We then ended up needing advice via phone in the middle of the night while traveling out of the country for a different problem a couple days later and she happened to be the doctor on call. Again, I was really pleased with her manner (and that she remembered us/where we were travelling, etc.) and the time she took to answer my questions, give us advice, and signs to watch for during the night that would change that advice.
(no subject)We saw Dr Motlow for a sick visit and she was very nice. Calmed my apprensive toddler down too. I also spoke to her 2 times during the same illness, once in the middle of the night with a 105.4 degree fever as the topic. She was again very pleasant, very calming, very reassuring. We'll definitely see her again!
(no subject)I took my tot to her just last week for a sick visit. It was the first time I had seen this particular doctor at that practice, and I really liked her. She was very good with my daughter (21 mths) who always screams with horror the instant she realizes a doctor is going to take a look at her, and keeps up the performance throughout. This time, the doctor's gentle handling kept the crying to a minimum. She was really very pleasant.
