Our night nurse Eurica was an absolute lifesaver. She worked with us from 8pm-8am for 2 months --always on time and flexible. She started the night we got home from the hospital. First baby, one month early (coming straight home from the NICU) and a c-section. Needless to say, tensions were high – we felt like we had no idea what we were doing and freaked out at each small noise. With her 20+ years of experience, she was the calming influence we needed. In addition to providing a reassuring presence, Eurica showed us how to bathe, burp and feed properly – always in a non-judgmental way. She also helped us organize his clothes and changing area so our system was as streamlined as possible. By the time she left, our son was on a regular feeding and sleep schedule (6-8 hours a night). Inviting someone into your home at one of the most vulnerable times in your life is a daunting task. However, from day one Eurica made us feel comfortable.
