My son has been working with Emily for a few months, explicitly prepping for the SHSATs. She is very detail-oriented, organized, and patient when it comes to the sessions. All sessions are online using Zoom, and she has mastered the use of online training since COVID. She's very informative about the lessons and progress and provides a detailed weekly recap keeping us in the loop. She ensures N. moves forward with a weekly plan and assigns homework, including reading. Emily works with N. and not only on the educational material. She provides counseling and test-taking tips. She provides practice SHSAT exams as needed and provides detailed results for us. For testing, she asks us to monitor the time and schedule and provide her feedback on how long each section took to complete. Before working with N., Emily met with my wife and me to ask about N. to understand the type of student he was and formulate a tutoring plan. We know she works with other tutors to help gauge N.'s performance to other children participating in tutoring/ test prep. Emily has been invaluable in non -testing areas as well, including school work and helping our son improve his reading skills. We discovered Emily on PSP and think she is wonderful.
