Fertility Clinics or Specialist recomendations?
I cannot recommend enough Dr. Edward Nejat. I was on the same boat at 40 and had tried 2 other fertility clinics where they insisted on upping the drug dosage which was not working for me at all. Dr Nejat suggested trying the complete opposite, limiting the drugs to the bare minimum to encourage my body to do the best on its own, and it worked at the first try - our baby is now 9 months old! He is warm and personable, a wonderful person and an excellent doctor. He and Dr Luk left New Hope to start their own practice and they have different approaches to IVF, great to talk to them if you want an alternative to the conventional one-fits-all approach. http://www.generationnextfertility.com/2018 Review

I think if you really want another child, you should take advantage of a fertility specialist's help. There are many interventions and medications that are not IVF (yes, Clomid, but also IUI). Because of your ages, I wouldn't wait. There are many excellent practices. I know people who are very pleased with Genesis Fertility here in the Slope, and I've found Edward Nejat at Neway Fertility in Manhattan to be very skilled and successful, with a great bedside manner (they take my fairly obscure insurance for things like office visits, tests and ultrasounds -- which is about all you can expect most U.S. insurances to pay for re fertility).
