I switched to Dr. Jew after being unhappy with the bedside manner of my previous OB. He was wonderful throughout my pregnancy. He always made time to answer any questions I had. The practice is very well run and almost all of my appointments ran on time. I was treated very kindly by the entire staff. A different member of the practice (Dr. Hanna) delivered my baby and I felt like the care was continuous and the values that Dr. Jew espoused were present in his colleague.2018 Birth Survey
Absolutely loved him. I had planned to use a midwife and was so upset when got risked up to an Ob but he was fantastic and made everything easy and was so supportive and respectful of all of my wishes.2018 Birth Survey
Excellent doctor. Great bed side manor. Very knowledgable, supportive of my birth plan. I felt confident I was in good hands. My one complaint, is the wait time was awful! I waited almost an hour for every appointment. I end up having a scheduled c-section. Dr. Moritz was on vacation so Dr. Jew performed the procedure. I thought he was great. He was very thoughtful. The procedure went very fast. He accommodated my request for a more birth-like c-section. They got me clear drapes and I got some brief skin to skin in the OR and then they quickly got my baby back to me in recovery.Review submitted via the PSP Birth Survey
The LoMa OBGYN is are really great. The office is nice and I never had to wait more than 10 minutes for an appointment. Dr Jew is very personable and responds quickly to question I send him on the Weil Cornell portal. He is not very forthcoming with information unless prompted. As a first time mom, I had to ask a LOT of question to get the information I needed to know. Based on a October, 2017 birthing experience.(no subject)

Dr. Jew was really informative, and I read a lot on my own. He was open and straightforward with the information, and made sure I knew the risks of both options. He was really optimistic the whole time, and I think that helped. He wasn't on call when I delivered, but Dr, Sharon Patrick was, and she never raised any doubts about the VBAC (the annoying and pessimistic resident did... I just ignored her). I got the feeling that in general, as an institution, Saint Luke's is pretty pro-VBAC, which I have a feeling a lot of hospitals are not. The morning after the delivery Dr. Jew came to visit and gave me a big hug and said "I knew you could do it!" which meant a lot. It's definitely important to find a doctor you feel will help inform you and support whatever decision you've made. I have had several friends be dissuaded from VBACs by their doctors (at different hospitals). Dr. Jew is really friendly, very accessible, a really great guy. (Recommended 10/08)(no subject)
I had a VBAC 16 months ago. My OB was Dr. Edward Jew at Saint Luke's Roosevelt. He was really great. Made sure I was well informed about both options (repeat c-section or VBAC) and left me to make up my own mind, and made it clear that no matter what I decided, he was supportive of my decision. I was a "good" candidate because my first c-section was because my daughter was breech. (Recommended 10/08)
